Details: Newburgh's 20th Annual Independence Day celebration will include a live band and food and non-food vendors. Fireworks will take place at 9:15PM. The fireworks were postponed from July 1 to July 2 because of the threat of a thunderstorm.

Poughkeepsie

Details: The City of Poughkeepsie's annual fireworks spectacular on July 4th can be viewed either from Waryas Park (free of charge) or from up on the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park). Wristbands are for sale, and you’re required to purchase them in advance to use the Walkway (age 5 years & up) for $12.50. The gates open at 6:30pm. Fireworks begin at dusk (9-9:30pm) from a barge on the Hudson River. Waryas Park is located at 1 Main Street, Poughkeepsie, 12601. View form the train station parking garage as well.
