Three were arrested after police found guns, ammunition, a police shield, police identification and other items that were stolen from a former Hudson Valley police chief.

On Thursday, Town of Saugerties Police reported that two handguns, ammunition, a police shield, police identification and other items were stolen from a vehicle belonging to a former Saugerties Police Chief.

On Saturday, members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team, U.R.G.E.N.T., conducted an undercover buy operation in the Village of Saugerties which led to the recovery of both stolen handguns and approximately 120 bags of heroin, police say.

A search warrant at an Ulster County home allegedly led to the discovery of 43 more bags of heroin.

Willie Rodriguez, 30, of Kingston was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, two-counts of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of stolen property, all felonies, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors.

Skylar Eichert, 27, of Saugerties, was charged with two-counts of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal sale of a firearm, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.

Gina Julian, 24, of Kingston was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors.

Detectives and investigators developed information which led to the recovery of the police shield, police identification and other stolen items. Those items were found tossed in a trash can, not far from where they were stolen, police say.
