Today (Aug. 30) marks the 25th anniversary of Tesla's third studio album 'Psychotic Supper’. It was released on Aug. 30, 1991.

Tesla formed out of Sacramento, California in 1981. The hard rock/metal outfit released their first album ‘Mechanical Resonance’ in 1986 and toured with bands like David Lee Roth, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard, and Poison. The band released their second album in 1989. ‘The Great Radio Controversy’ produced the hit power ballad ‘Love Song. in 1990, the band released the live album ‘Five Man Acoustical Jam’ and had a hit with their cover of ‘Signs’ (A 1971 hit for Five Man Electrical Band).

Coming off the strength of their successful Five Man Acoustical Jam album,  Tesla released Psychotic Supper which would go platinum featuring singles "What You Give", "Edison's Medicine", and "Call it What You Want", and "Song & Emotion".

Tesla just released a new album Mechanical Resonance LIVE on Aug. 26, 2016. The album contains a bonus track called "Save that Goodness" produced by Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen.
