Two Dutchess County men are accused of stealing a car in Dutchess County.

On Thursday, State Police from the Poughkeepsie arrested 28-year-old Benjamin M. Prinzivalli for criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.

On August 15, troopers received a call about a stolen 2015 Toyota Camry on Carrington Court in the Town of Lagrange.

State Police soon learned that the stolen car was stopped and impounded after a traffic stop by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department.

Michael A. Tarzia, 24, from Poughkeepsie was arrested shortly after the car was impounded and charged with criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.

Police allege that Prinzivalli and Tarzia stole the car together. Prinzivalli was turned over to State Police on Thursday after he was arrested for an unrelated drug charge, police say.

Prinzivalli was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 property bond.
