Just a friendly reminder, New York state police will once again be cracking down on drunk drivers before St. Patrick's Day.

Governor Andrew Cuomo's office stated that from March 12 to March 17, NY state police will increase the number of sobriety checkpoints and will place more drunk driving patrols on the roads.

NY state police will always increase DWI enforcement around the holidays, as well as the Super Bowl so this comes as no surprise.

According to Governor Cuomo's office, state police made 264 DWI arrests and issued more than 14,000 tickets for the week leading up to St. Patrick's in 2015.

So again, have a designated driver,or call a cab or shuttle service. Besides, you don't want to be this person.
