If you were stuck in traffic this morning on Route 9 in Fishkill, it's because everyone was in line for discount gas.

In anticipation for the "Big Game" WPDH hosted the Boris & Robyn Bowl at Flory's Mobil on Route 9 in Fishkill on Friday morning. Everyone who showed up between 6am and 10am were able to fill their gas tanks for just $1.01 a gallon.

In addition to the low gas prices, listeners competed for prizes including Bruce Springsteen tickets and a "Big Game" party package from Pepsi and Frito Lay. In order to win, listeners had to tackle a chicken wing from our producer, Meat Sandwich. While most people just grabbed it out of his hand, one listener took it to the extreme and almost sent the radio producer to the hospital.  Check out the video to see what happened live on the air.

Cars lined up even before 6am and traffic remained backed up until just after 10am when the pumps officially went back to regular price. Throughout the morning WPDH checked in on the progress outside.
